This is a simple walk cycle from a game I've been working on. Well, working on again after it was shelved for a year. What do you mean forcing .NET onto people to get DirectX for one freakin' file is a bad idea when a huge security hole in the flaming wad kills my machine during installation?
Anyhoo, the game, LARE, tries to be a throwback to side-scrolling platformers -- specifically, Bubble Bobble without a bubbles. Makes sense to me. It follows the aftermath from the King of the Monster's death, which includes all of his Minions running through the cavernous lair to be the first to reach and claim his empty throne. And it is online multi-player. Perhaps I shoulda mentioned that part. That instantly adds fifty points to any project. It is on a scale of a million sure, but fifty's fifty~!
And this isn't a "im working on it a lot expect it soon lolz!!!11!1" project; this is a "I'm drawin' crap so there are more than Paint filler graphics and I can release it since everything else works" project. The only issue from last year was DirectX, so I was able to get everything else pretty squared away.
[ Course, without an available server right now, such a release has been considerably hampered. Hel, I can't even get intensive C++ to compile on this current machine! ]
This li'l bugger is the Aqueous Minion since no one is allowed to have a simple elemental title, apparently.
